The Glory Hole, Lincoln
Glory Hole Lincoln painting

The Glory Hole is the name given to the dark tunnel created by the High Bridge over the River Witham in the centre of Lincoln. The restored Tudor building on the medieval bridge is the only one on a bridge still used for commercial purposes outside of Florence and the only one in the world that still has traffic running over it. The building houses the famous High Bridge Cafe.
