Sister Act
Sister Act
Tomorrow, Monday 17th November, I should have been hanging pictures in Gallery at St. Martins in Lincoln with my sister. Because of Lockdown 2, that is not now happening. We were having a joint exhibition my sister and I. Instead, a video version will be uploaded to Instagram and Facebook. All of our paintings, which would have been in the exhibition are either here or on www.maggiebirdpics.co.uk. Hopefully, it won't be too long before a real exhibition can go ahead and I will be writing here with more positive news.

Denise Hawthorne’s art group, who normally meet once a week in her Chapel studio, kept in touch during lockdown… sending each other work at various stages of completion for help and suggestions from Denise and other members.
Denise completed 14 paintings of her own, as well as work in two sketchbooks, during these 14 weeks of isolation.
The group will be mounting as exhibition of some of this work at the Sam Scorer Gallery on Drury Lane, Lincoln, from October 8th 2020, providing there are no further restrictions on movement imposed before then.
Details will be on the Sam Scorer Gallery website as well as Denise Hawthorne’s Gallery nearer the time.
